Sandro Tonali admits he has missed football during his 10-month ban and is grateful for the support he has received from his Newcastle team-mates.

Tonali was banned for 10 months after being found guilty of betting offences during his time in Italy before moving to Newcastle United and has now returned to action for the Magpies.

The midfielder, who also returned to the Italy squad in September, spoke to Ufabet Sports about the 10-month ban being the longest of his life.

“I’ve been thinking about it for the last 10 months. I’ve been thinking about football, I’ve been thinking about the stadium, I’ve been thinking about the whole atmosphere in the stadium. But now I’m back, I think I’ve done really well.”

“That feeling (coming back to celebrate with the fans) was really good because the fans were so crazy after the first game,”

Tonali is grateful for the support he has received from his teammates, especially the four players Bruno Guimaraes, Joelinton, Kieran Trippier and Jamaal Lascelles.

“After the second game, Bruno and Joelinton as well, because they supported me every day during my suspension. Trippier and captain Jamal as well.”

“These four, for me, are probably the ยูฟ่าเบท best players who always support me,” Tonali said.
