Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town are both keeping tabs on Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell, who could leave the club in the middle of the season.
The Sun, a British media outlet, reported that Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town have shown interest in English left-back Chilwell, who is likely to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window.
Chilwell has been a regular in the injury crisis, having last feature for Chelsea back in April towards the end of last season, a key reason why new head coach Enzo Maresca is not considering him in his plans for the 2024-25 season.
The 27-year-old left-back was expect to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window but has since remained at Stamford Bridge and Maresca surprisingly made it onto the 25-man Premier League list for the season.
However, Chilwell’s situation at Chelsea is uncertain, UFABET with Crystal Palace and Ipswich set to keep a close eye on him over the next three-and-a-half months. Should Maresca remain indifferent, it is likely that a change of club will take place in January.
It would be quite a coup for either club, considering Chilwell joined the Blues for a fee of £50m from Leicester City just four years ago.
One stumbling block may be the massive wages Chilwell is on at Stamford Bridge though, as his £200,000-per-week payslip dwarfs anything that the players of Palace and Ipswich are on, so it is likely Chelsea would need to subsidise that if he is to leave on loan.
